Biography

Prof. Motoji Yamamoto obtained his Ph.D. at the Kyushu University in Japan in 1990,
then he has been working in Kyushu University until now. He also got Research Fellowship for Young Scientists by Japan Society for the Promotion of Science (JSPS) from 1988 to 1989, and worked as Research Associate at the Department of Engineering, University of California Los Angeles (UCLA) from 1995 to 1996. He is also the Fellow member of JSME, SICE, and RSJ. His current research interests focus on robot manipulator, mobile robot, wire suspended mechanism, service robotics, medical and human care robotics.

 

Abstract

In this report, recent research activities of Control Engineering Lab in Kyushu University are introduced, which includes passively deformable robotic hand, high-speed parallel pare parallel wire robot, anti-sway control of track crane, walking assist robotic suites, stability analysis for human standing.
